A recent article in the Record-Eagle about this year’s quality grape crop sent me to Old Mission Peninsula. I found a few vineyards without layover netting, making for better pictures, but most vintners now use it to protect their grapes from predators. My favorite pictures were of whole vineyards near West Bay, especially those close to sunset. It’s the coastal waters that make our region a successful Wine Country.
