I’ve taken some recent drives around the countryside to assess the fall color. I was curious how the extended summer temperatures followed by continuous rain might affect the changing of the leaves. So far, while there is still plenty of green out there, the colors are arriving. What’s it like in your neck of the woods?
There are certainly pockets of "full" color, though I don't expect to call it peak in Leelanau for another week yet. Anyway, after peak, there's nowhere to go but down, so we need to appreciate every minute!
