WINTER BEACH

The sunny weather last Friday sent me to Empire for the sunset.  Many others had the same idea, but I was early enough to claim a perfect spot for the southerly setting sun.  While my eyes and camera were trained on the sunset, it was perfect for people watching too.  Couples taking selfies against the orange sky, a photographer capturing the event from the beach, and two men taking a polar plunge.  It could’ve been July.

  1. I saw that sunset from Cathead Point on Friday. The scrappy little clouds added a lot, didn't they? I like that shot of the couple on the beach -- and I'll bet they would love to have it, too!

  2. Thanks, P.J. When I saw your sunset image, I wondered if it was the same day. It's not exactly an every day occurrence to see a winter sunset. My favorite was the video I took of the setting sun so I could remember the sights and sounds during the winter bleaks, which I think we've entered. I couldn't get it to load on Blogger, but it's on FB.
