If one word had to sum up this spring (in addition to cold and wet), it would be waiting. Waiting for the temperatures to warm. Waiting for the snow to disappear. (Did you know there are still some patches of snow remaining on the ridge just north of the Bight?) Waiting for the trillium fields to mature. Waiting for the cherry blossoms to pop. But a quiet drive along the bay returned me to the present as I watched cloud formations and light change throughout the afternoon.
Those are lovely, peaceful images, Karen. I love how a cloudbank so often forms above the land to the east of Grand Traverse Bay. Wonder what people over on that side see?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela. They definitely calmed my angst at wanting blossoms to photograph. Karen
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series, Karen! Love the variety of cloud shapes and tones. I can also relate to your eagerness to see blossoms. Let the popping begin!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jan. I'm with you on the popping blossoms!
