Hi Jackie...Thanks for your visit and comments. The pictures are posted in the order taken. I got to the Magic Carpet just after the sun had set behind the "elbow" of the land mass in the first picture. The first image was taken at 7:18 pm. In the second, there is still a pretty healthy red reflection in the clouds from the sunset. The second was taken just two minutes later at 7:20. In the last image, it was nearly dark and that's when the purples came out. That was taken at 7:30. There were lots of changes in the span of about 15 minutes.
Thanks, Jan. Yes, the light was beautiful that night. Auroras were also popping last night and they'll make up my next post. Glad you like the macro bug I sent you. I need to learn from you on that skill. Karen
WOW! these colors are stunning - it is amazing how they changed from pinkish amber to pink and blue, or was it the other way around?

ReplyDeleteA gorgeous series of shots, Karen. Great color and light, especially in the first two.

ReplyDeleteP.S. The clouds are spectacular in the third shot. However, the light in the first two really makes those
ReplyDeleteshots for me.
What I love most in the first and second shots is that the brightest light seems that reflected from the wet sand. It makes a pool of color. !!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the reflection too, Pamela. Nature is so amazing! Karen
