Leelanau Morning

I was only out about two hours, but the light was influx the whole time.  Skyscapes changed from blue with just a few clouds to times when the cloud cover was heavy and stormy-looking.  And there was ice.  Both Mougeys and Kehl Lakes were iced over and there were even two fishermen on Kehl.  It was another beautiful Leelanau morning.

  1. Love your capture of the brilliant light above the clouds and sun rays beneath the clouds in the first shot, Karen! Great shot and great series with wonderful light, colors, and composition.

    1. Thanks, Jan. I like the top image too. But my other favorites are the fourth one done and the last one. I love the little bay outside Omena, but wish I'd gotten in closer so I didn't have all the stray branches. As for the last one, I like that it almost has a natural sepia color, without any editing to make it that way.

  2. Love these shots, especially the first two - very dramatic and with rich colors. Sky shots are wonderful.

    1. Thanks, Jackie. Glad you like these images. This time of year it's often the clouds and sky that tell the story of our winter season.
