Karen, you found color, and as you traveled and looked for it I'm sure you noticed, as I have, that some roads are colorful, others very drab. Some of that depends on what trees are along a particular section of road, but I too am wondering if lack of rain will keep our autumn less colorful than it might otherwise have been.
I'm seeing the same thing. I too have a feeling the colors will be more drab than usual. I've thought that before in dry years and I was pleasantly surprised, though. Hope we're wrong about our drab predictions.
