EARLY-BIRD CATCHES THE SUNRISE

Sleep left me at 4:30 a.m.  I tossed and turned for another hour, finally giving up and heading out for the sunrise.  When I arrived near East Bay Park, the sky and reflections in the water were so pink and I wondered if the sun had already risen behind the haze.  But it finally peeked over Old Mission at the appointed time, turning the pinks to lovely orange and salmon hues.

  2. Thank you! I didn't think there'd be any activity at all, but then I saw the kayakers. Two standup paddle boarders went in the other direction. I guess others like the morning peace too.
