Independence Day: Northport Style

The village was packed; hardly a parking spot remained, especially near the marina.  People were in town to enjoy the good food at our restaurants, shop in our unique stores, play on the beach, and hear the Community Band play patriotic favorites.  But all these activities were in anticipation of the big festivities beginning at dusk.  It's no secret that Northport has one of the best fireworks displays in all of Northern Michigan, and 2015 did not disappoint.  Oohs and aahs could be heard all around the waterfront as one colorful fireworks after another exploded into the night.

  2. Thanks, Pamela. It's taken a few years, but I've finally nailed fireworks. The problem with learning fireworks photography is that you have to wait a whole year to correct your mistakes! A loooong learning curve. Karen
