Painted Skies

The big snowstorm missed us.  The big winds didn't, churning up the Bay and Lake with roaring water and waves.  But as I drove home along M-22 to Northport, Spring was on my mind as sunshine leaked through the clouds and painted the skies with setting sun beauty.

  1. Nothing like a good sunset. I never get tired of the different colors that it can produce. To me it's still just amazing to sit and watch as in one minute the whole sky can change. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Mark. Yes, sunsets are amazing. It was interesting how the skies were mostly yellow and orange before the sunset, but the afterglow was a hot pink.

  2. I agree with Mark, Karen: "Nothing like a good sunset." Especially when it is on the Leelanau Peninsula! I love the composition and colors in all of these!

    1. Thanks, Jan. It was interesting how the sunset started with a small opening and then the whole sky got involved at the end.
