Karen, there is something so charming about your photos of all these young sailors learning to navigate the bay in their small craft. They appear to be as focused on learning to sail as you were on capturing these moments.
Thank you, Jan. These kids were fun to watch, especially on a day when the winds were quite brisk and they had to use all their new skills to keep their boats upright.
Glad you photographed them, Karen. Little sailboats beg to be photographed, don't they? I'm always reminded of cabbage butterflies fluttering around puddles.
Thanks, Pamela. Yes, those little sailboats are a delight to photograph. Your analogy is wonderful! Karen
It makes me feel happy to look at these photos, Karen. I love to see that girls are learning to sail, too. I especially like the one showing the colors of a single boat with a little girl sailing it. I also liked the composition of the last picture with the 3 upright sails mirroring the upright structures to the left in the background.
Thank you, Jackie. I'm glad these photos make you happy. It is wonderful to see the young girls learning to sail too. I don't know if you can tell, but the third image down is of a girl too; she is in one of the advanced classes and is doing a great job of handling the still wind. Oh, for a little longer reach with my lenses!
