Thanks, Jan. I'm glad you liked this series. I had fun discerning the differences between these bare-boned skeletons, and could see the beauty in "just the bones" but I wasn't sure others would appreciate it. It's definitely stark vs flashy. Karen
They do look like they're resting on a quiet day -- different when the wind is howling and lashing their branches! -- and David, too, always says he likes the landscape when the leaves are gone and the "bones" showing.
While I'm always a little sad when the leaves go, there is a different kind of beauty that is revealed in their absence. And David has a good eye....which we already knew!
